Imagine Music Festival – Ready for the 4th Evolution

Written by on July 30, 2017 in Imagine Music Festival, slider - No comments

Ready for the next evolution of Imagine Music Festival? IMF has had to evolve every year in its existence – and the fact that it’s still around is a testament to the sustainability of the event for years to come. Imagine has changed venue, location, number of days, and dates. Remaining constant has been the dedicated organizers, loyal fan base, and quality of talent. Despite some growing pains last year (lacking security, medial staff, food & water options), Imagine is again poised for greatness. Unlike fallen past festivals, IMF has been given numerous second chances and each time, they’ve succeeded in surpassing expectations. The organizers have explained that they plan to do that again with the 2017 event!

Improvements for Imagine Music Festival 2017 (in order of expected impact vs last year):
• NEW Security Company = CID (they have incredible experience running various aspects of festivals from Coachella to Bonnaroo)
• More water stations (with better signage & locations) + FREE showers in GA camping
• Festival dates moved to later in September (same as 1st CounterPoint & TomorrowWorlds)
• Improved festival food & beverage vendors with more veggie/vegan options
• New games & activities in camping areas

One thing that has remained constant throughout Imagine’s evolution is the quality of national, international, and local music talent and production that takes over the stages! This year, is no exception, with a line-up full of headliners! Here’s some of our faves:

CLAUDE VONSTROKE the fearless leader of the Dirtybird Record Label (they just won Mixmag’s Top Label Of The Decade award!!)
PRETTY LIGHTS LIVE it’s been too long since Derek + crew have been in Atlanta, you know they’ll throw down with that old school / new school / analog / future / shit #OneTimeYall
DEADMAU5 the mau5 was in Atlanta last year for Music Midtown…but I think we all know, that wasn’t a proper set for him. We’re ready for him to unleash his relentless progressive house on the Atlanta Motor Speedway!
NOSIA this is more of a personal excitement – Nosia is hard to pin down (doesn’t tour the Southeast often) and one of the few artists on the line-up, I have yet to see live!
THE FUNK HUNTERS while I wish this was billed with Chali 2na, these Canadian funk legends will not disappoint! They, too, rarely tour the Southeast, so make sure to catch ’em while ya can
NORA EN PURE just listen to one of her (many) mixes, you’ll know she’s a CAN’T MISS (listen to Purified #060 HERE)
And as always, get out there early (or stay late at the Silent Disco) to catch some of Atlanta’s youngest and brightest artists like Daily Bread, Andy Bruh, Eddie Gold, Robbie Dude, Sunday Service, & more!

About the Author

Since the first festival I went to, it's been pretty clear that I have a serious obsession. I have been playing this game where I see if I can take advantage of every drop of happiness at any given festival and have the best time possible. Happiness can come in any form-music, art, community, friends, even nature. It's a great game! Maybe I can teach ya how to play...
